Our Story

Born and raised in Mississippi, now settled on the Virginia side of D.C., Gracious Me brings southern flair to Americana/ folk/ alt. country music. Her writing takes a literary, female perspective on the major connection points in life, and her soulful singing brings that perspective to life in song. She has performed live in Virginia, D.C., Maryland, North Carolina, New York, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Mississippi, with performances in Florida coming in 2019.  An award-winning songwriter, she has most recently been one of only twelve finalists in the 2019 South Florida Folk Fest Songwriter Contest and a finalist in the Rapunzel's Coffee and Books 16th Annual Songwriting Contest in October, 2018.  Gracious Me is focused on digging deeper with her songwriting, and she is sharing the results with audiences in her upcoming performance dates.
